It might not be a HUGE mess-up if it’s a quick wipe and more “damp” than “soggy”, but when I’ve wiped down the wall with anything other than a dry cloth, it’s just enough that it shows a little texture from the wipe (which, if it’s bad enough, means sanding it smooth again, which also means you have to wipe down the wall again, and then I’m basically just in some kind of hellish loop that I can’t escape).
